In the late eighties, as an alternative to demolishing the hydro plant operator’s house and cabin, the Company opted to let the P30 Club, now known as the Newfoundland Power Trailblazers Association, operate them and maintain them for the benefit of all employees and retirees. Since then a lot of work has been done to the facilities to maintain them in reasonable good condition, including the addition of a second floor to create an extra two bedrooms and new furniture throughout. Every year members of the Trailblazers sacrifice countless hours to make the facility just a little bit better.

Any employees or ex employees of the Company who wish to spend a few vacation days in the tranquility of country-style living at minimal cost are asked to contact Nick Aylward. The facilities are booked on a first come first served basis.

Before leaving, users are asked to restore the facilities to a clean and neat condition and to report problems to Leroy Hynes or Cyril Langdon or Gordon Goulding or Frank Freeman in Norris Arm.
